LIVINGSOLIDS import (interfaces)
In order to be able to produce interactive models in the LIVINGSOLIDS Modeller, first of all 3D geometries and if necessary metadata need to be imported from a source system (CAD or other 3D graphics tools).
LIVINGSOLIDS comes with the following interfaces as standard:
CAD Adapter CATIA V4/V5 (native)
Direct import of CATIA V4 or CATIA V5 (up to V5R16)
CAD Adapter Pro/E
Import of Pro/Engineer Parts and Assemblies
VRML interface
This 3D standard exchange format can be imported into Versions 1.0 and 2.0 (VRML 97) and exported as VRML 2.0 (VRML 97).
U3D interface
U3D (Universal 3D) is another standard exchange format for 3D pdf documents. U3D data can be both imported and exported by the LIVINGSOLIDS U3D interface.
Specifically adapted interfaces with PDM systems
LIVINGSOLIDS provides interfaces to import metadata from PDM (product data management) systems and to automatically process them in interactive 3D models. LIVINGSOLIDS currently comes with an SAP interface as standard. Thanks to its wealth of expertise and experience in the development of interfaces, LIVINGSOLIDS is able to flexibly respond to new interface requirements.
